SE MBA International Study Tour: Going Swiss

Last week SE MBA group came back from Switzerland after its two-week study tour. Global manufacturers, FMCG giants, big-league Swiss banks, outstanding IMD and international organizations were in focus of the study tour.
The study tour was about comparing strategies. For example, JTI and Philip Morris International, direct competitors hosted 2 meetings were companies’ marketing, communication and HR strategies were discussed.

DuPont, world leader in science-based industries presented their HR strategies and discussed how they run their R&D. Nestle, another FMCG leader presented their long-term approach and talked about international and local marketing strategies. Acquisition of “Mivina”, Ukrainian food brand and approaches to further international development of the product was another hot topic.
Kudelski Group, OSCAR and EMMY awards winners, better known as a leader in digital security discussed long-term strategies and gave an impressive tour of their elegant offices and best products. Another industry leader, Mirabaud & Cie private bankers talked about industry trends and how to do banking business in uncertainty. Mr. Pierre Mirabaud, Senior Partner of the Mirabaud & Cie and Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association gave a comprehensive picture of how the industry works.
“It is people that make the difference” was the key idea of all the meetings.
