Graduation Ceremony for Senior Executive MBA Group

On December 23 the graduation ceremony for SEMBA 2009 group took place. 24 C-level executives and business owners from all over Ukraine were awarded with SEMBA Diplomas.

Prof. Ihor Mansurov, Director for the Economics Institute under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Head of the Attestation Committee mentioned the extremely high level and practicality of the masters’ thesis of the graduates. Mr. Vitaliy Gayduk, member of MIM-Kyiv’s Board of Directors established the new tradition of personal awarding authors of the best theses. This year Mr. Andriy Streltsov was given Mr. Gayduk’s award. Dr. George Logush, members of MIM-Kyiv’s Board and Vice President Kraft Foods Area Director: Ukraine, Belarus', Moldova, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan joined him in awarding the best thesis of his choice.

2 best masters thesis were given special awards from Mr. Vitaliy Gayduk and Dr. George Logush, members of MIM-Kyiv’s Board of Directors. One of the theses was on corporate social responsibility.

All the graduates mentioned that the program was of special value for them as it integrated corporate social responsibility issues into very practical curriculum. Dr. George Logush speech was focused on the contribution of the highly educated business people into Ukraine’s society development. His award was given to the thesis devoted to the corporate social responsibility.

Ms. Olga Zaremba, CFO for Midland Development Ukraine mentioned that “We have come for the recipes but acquired a vision. Now after 2 years we have more questions than answers”. Prof. Iryna Tykhomyrova stressed that “B-school is a good environment for honing the ability to make unique decisions and implement them. Knowledge, skills and vision acquired here makes our alumni successful in the long-term perspective.”
