Global Perspective and Cross Cultural Issues

On October 1 – 2, Prof. Godwin Wong (Haas Business School, the USA) delivered his course in cultural management for the second year MBA students.

Nowadays there is practically no 100% domestic businesses left. Thus, managing multicultural teams and building cross boundaries relations becomes one of the success drivers.

In the course the participants compared and contrasted the similarities and differences between various cultures as they relate to the conduct of business affairs and communication of norms and expectations. It was also examined the various aspects of business communication and etiquette: written, verbal, non-verbal, behavioral, etc.

The emphases was focused on understanding, sensitivity, awareness and management of the issues and concerns for executives operating outside their home countries.
