Hong Kong Diaries. Ukrainian Presentations and Chinese Cultural Legacy

July 10, 2009

July 10 was the last day of the study trip. It was split into 2 parts: Presentations of MIM projects and presentation of Chinese cultural approaches that influence business.

MIM group grabbed the opportunities and presented 7 business ideas covering wide range of industries from agricultural to international consulting. And soon we will witness the results of some of them, because everything was made in the most appropriate way and under the guidance and with recommendations of Prof. Wong, not only Professor at Haas School of Business but also a full-fledge member of Hong Kong guanxi.

Another session of the day covered Chinese cultural legacy, especially those elements that are still influencing business decisions. One of the most exiting was feng shui and numbers tradition. Even if only the poorest and the richest take feng shui and meanings of the numbers dead seriously, it is better not violate the rules that were important for generations.

The day was finished by a gala dinner presenting the blend of the best European and Oriental traditions.
