First year EMBA students, Ms. Carolina Yedynets, Deputy Commercial Director for “Perechynsky Lisotchimichny Combinat” (wood and chemical industry), Mr. Ihor Ruban, CIO of YUGContract LTD (leading digital products distributor) and Ms. Maria Artysh, CEO for “Perspectyva-M” consulting company talked to Business Weekly on development of managerial skills and styles and factors influencing them.
Mr. Ruban mentioned that uncertainty of the business environment calls for quick changes and proactive approaches and that often brings about authoritative management style, though democratic leadership is still a priority. But despite all the variety of styles, character and external factors the best managerial style is the one adequate with challenges the company faces.
