New MIM-‘s President Has Been Appointed

International Management Institute is delighted to announce that Dr. Iryna Tykhomyrova has been appointed the new President of the MIM-Kyiv as of June 1, 2008.
Dr. Tykhomyrova has started her tenure with the International Management Institute in 1997 as a Head of Department of Post-graduate Studies. Since then she was successfully working as a Head of Research Sector, Head of Research & Program Development Department, Associated Professor Economics & Management Department, and Vice-Rector (MBA Program Director). Dr. Iryna Tykhomyrova holds her Ph.D. degree in Economics from Scientific Research Economic Institute of Economy under the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine and MBA degree from the International Management Institute. Her research is in the field influence of managerial education upon the economic growth of a country.
Globalization brings new challenges to domestic businesses new challenges. With admission of Ukraine to the World Trade Organization, Ukrainian companies going public and international, Ukraine’s business lack international managerial expertise.
Through its existence MIM-Kyiv has been instrumental in providing new opportunities for more than 1500 business people who are now key players in both domestic and international marketplace. In 2004 MIM-Kyiv has become Ukraine’s only business school which acquired international recognition. It was awarded with the unconditional accreditation IQA by CEEMAN.
International recognition and new demands of the business education market require continuous changes. The school should implement the new concept of its development. This stage is associated with the new President of the School, Dr. Iryna Tykhomyrova.
Her managerial education expertise, wide network of corporate Ukraine contacts, deep understanding of urgent business needs as well consulting and teaching experience and understanding of the role of business education in boosting up economic buoyancy give a powerful impact to the MIM-Kyiv development.
