Yuri Poluneev, President of MIM-Kyiv: Today, Ukraine is facing the major task of decreasing GNP's energy consumption.

“We have to realize today that the increase in global prices for energy carriers is an absolutely obvious trend. Thus, Ukraine must carry out in-depth reforming aimed at reducing GNP's energy consumption, says MIM-Kyiv’s President. The index of prices for energy carriers in Ukraine is the highest among the CIS countries, therefore reducing energy consumption means investing into energy efficiency. This is, believes Dr. Poluneev, supposed to be the main response of the country to the situation when it faces the increase in global prices for energy carriers”.
