Dr. Iryna Tykhomyrova: Education Quality Is Our #1 Priority

Last week Dr. Iryna Tykhomyrova, MIM’s acting President participated in the round table discussion on development of the business education in Ukraine. Round table brought together people from business schools, business education clients, industry associations representatives and governmental agencies.

Dr. Tykhomyrova covered main trends in Ukraine’s business education. She told the participants that business education market is far from being saturated and real competition is very low. High demand for MBA programs provide for increase of prices (30% - 40% raise last year) and doubling of the number of applicants. She mentioned that meticulous adherence to program and delivery quality, reputation management and rigorous requirements to applicants as top priorities for MIM-Kyiv in high demand market.

Mr. Ihor Movenko, Director of Best Practice Consulting Company, and MIM’s MBA 2002 stressed that the value of MBA degree should be paid special attention to. He also mentioned the importance of students’ body quality and explained the value MBA program by his own example. “Before the MBA program I was a hired hand. Now I have started my own company”.
